Description
A Professional Caregiver gives care to clients in a professional and compassionate manner in their own homes. They take care of people who are ill, injured, disabled or elderly.
Typical Job Activities
Helps clients take prescribed medication
Assists clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
(doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
Assists clients with personal care and hygiene
Helps clients with physical therapy exercises
Plans and prepares meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
Does the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
Performs light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
Be a pleasant and supportive companion
Reports any unusual incidents
Acts quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
