Job Title – Information Technology (IT) Support Technician


An Information Technology (IT) Support Technician is responsible for maintaining the company's computer services and equipment. The duties can include troubleshooting to detect and solve technical problems, installing or updating required hardware and software and recommending computer products or equipment to improve company productivity.

Typical Job Activities

Troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues (Windows/Linux)
Provide support where needed, in terms of queries and resolving issues surrounding any projects and end users
Install and configure software, hardware as well as PCs and laptops
Maintenance: Ensure systems are backed up and that all clones are in working order
Document all tasks and duties
Remote management and support
Resolution and training on FAQ’s
Office and site visits
Internal and external Client Support
Manage Stakeholder relationships i.e. Suppliers and ISP’s
Provide first line support with Frequently Asked Questions and FLI’s

Educational Requirements

Senior Certificate with matric exemption
Technical qualification, A+, N+, MCSE
