Studies the market and selects the most appropriate advertising medium (for example TV, radio, the Internet, newspapers, magazines)
Aims to reach the maximum number of people at a the minimum cost
Bases the choice of medium on research data and on the available budget
Deals with competing with other buyers
Works closely with others in the advertising team
