Job Title – Mine Planner
Description
A Mine Planner is responsible for determining the best way for a mining company to extract a resource from out of the ground.
Typical Job Activities
Assists with co-coordinating impact assessments via
specialist external scientists
Assists with reporting on feedback from external scientists
Analyses the report and scrutinises the findings
Compiles a consolidated report from all the specialist external scientists
Amends the report according to shortfalls identified by the audit
Once approved, gives feedback to the client
Keeps accurate record of audit reports on file
Compiles management plans for clients
Assists with compiling of management plans for the mine covering project tasks,
deadlines, mitigation and measures etc.
Ensures that legislative requirements as per the Mineral and Health &
Safety Act and other related Acts are adhered to
