Description

A Labour Relations Officer’s main responsibility is to ensure that both managers and employees are satisfied. They must keep up to date with all labour and wage laws and company policies that relate to employees, for example contracts, wages, working conditions etc.

 

Typical Job Activities

Keeps up to date with labour and wage legislation – I’d remove this because you’ve mentioned it in the description
Attends meetings
Observes workers and writes reports
Listens intently to both sides of a dispute
Assists with matters relating to employment, retrenchment and disciplinary hearings
Assists with matters relating to appeal hearings at the CCMA

Prepares lots of paperwork relating to issues at hand
