A Hairdresser renders a service to clients by washing, cutting, perming, colouring, tinting, curling and styling their hair.

Typical Job Activities

Studies the client's face, hair and scalp and decide on a style and treatment
Shampoos and treats hair
Gives scalp treatments and massages
Cuts, shapes and styles hair
Bleaches and tint hair
Gives permanent waves
Trims and styles beards and moustaches
Advises customers on personal grooming and cosmetic aids available
Fits and style wigs
Keeps the salon clean
Responsible for supplies, keeping records, keeping an appointment book, receiving clients and hires employees
