Have you been putting off your job hunt because you’re just unsure of where to start? It's never too late to get going – here are a few pointers to get you started.

Lots of graduates feel the way you do

You're in your final year and you’re still uncertain of what you’d like to become. Don't panic – there are plenty of graduates who feel exactly like you do. Most people don't have a clue as to what they want to do - and that uncertainty is completely normal. Don't stress yourself out about it – you’ll find the answers you’re looking for.

Take a close look at yourself for career ideas

To make the right decision for yourself, you have to take a closer (and honest) look at yourself. Self-analysis may be difficult, but it’s the only way to figure out whether or not a job was made for you.

Think of what matters to you

This is where things get real. Think of what matters to you in a job – do you want adventure, a desk job, would you like to travel, do you want to help other, do you want to work in isolation or with a group of people, are you looking for something creative or are numbers your strong point? Do you want security or do you prefer short-term contracts? These are serious questions that you need, to be honest about. If for instance, you want to make money and help people, you won’t have much luck fulfilling your goals by working for an NGO.

Before jumping into the job hunting process, make sure you know what you want to do by examining your skill set, strengths, and what matters to you most. Once you've figured that out, simply visit careers24.com, upload your CV and start searching for your dream job.
