Job Title – Business Development Coordinator

Description

A Business Development Coordinator is responsible for maintaining good relationships with current clients while simultaneously building new client relationships and generating fresh sales. It is their job to make sure that current clients are satisfied, and potential clients are interested in securing their organisation’s services. 

Typical Job Activities

Provides support to lawyers in the creation, preparation and coordination of proposals/pitches for new business development
Conducts market analysis, industry and competitive intelligence research reports for business development opportunities
Maintains a database of matter summaries, track experience and all related information for use in pitches/RFPs, bios, legal directory submissions, website, press releases, etc
Plans and executes local events for the Washington, DC office, including conferences, client dinners, seminars and webinars
Works collectively with the public relations team to identify and secure speaking engagements and other events, including the production of PowerPoint and other types of presentations and exhibits
Maintains promotional materials and practice inventory for event sponsorships
Maintains client and prospect mailing lists
Coordinates the production of the practice group's regulatory publications, client alerts and external client announcements
Updates bios and practice descriptions with new content, including matters and awards/rankings
Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position

Educational Requirements

Senior Certificate with matric exemption
For a Degree course in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism or related field, or equivalent at a University
